St. Augustine

is a dense, very coarse, low-growing turf which produces thick-stemmed runners requiring permanent containment. It has dark green color during its growing season; however, St. Augustine does become dormant in winter. St. Augustine is well suited to Texas's varied soils and climate. It is most often used where there is insufficient sunlight for other varieties.

The site should be prepared before sodding. Dead grass, weeds, rocks and construction wastes such as bits of concrete or rocks must be removed. It may be necessary to add topsoil to fill in low or uneven areas. This, along with any amendments, should be smoothed and firmed before sodding. Once the sod is in place, it may be lightly rolled to ensure better soil contact.

Our service includes installing 1 pallet of St Augustine Grass and removing debris and or leveling the area by hand with 1/2 yard of yard mix if needed.
